Media and Communications
The Office of Corporate Communications
and Public Relations is the contact point for external media enquiries about
activities at the University and coordinates requests from journalists for comment
from the academics or the Vice Chancellor.
The Media office produces media releases of promotional activities and research
at the University and all staff members are encouraged to liaise with the media
and communications team to write and distribute news to the external community.
There is an online news service detailing current and recent university happenings..
Mentions of Murdoch University in the media can be viewed through Murdoch University’s
media monitoring site.
Photography services are also available through the Office of Corporate Communications and
Public Relations. All external filming requests should be discussed with the
Media and Communications team before approval is given.
The Media and Communications team produces a series of corporate publications
that are distributed via subscription throughout the calendar year.
- Explore – Murdoch’s in-house
magazine for staff is published eight times per year, containing news of the
campuses as well as achievements by staff and students.
- In Touch – A biannual magazine for
Murdoch alumni members, focusing on stories of graduates and news of the University
pertinent to alumni.
- A World of Opportunity –
A magazine celebrating Murdoch's first 30 years of outstanding achievements.
- Annual Report
– a comprehensive report on activities and financial statements for
the previous financial year.
