After completing their studies together at Brighton College of Art in the United Kingdom in 1961, Blanchflower and Brighton shared a close friendship. Although Blanchflower emigrated to Australia in 1972, and the two artists have taken different life paths, they have maintained a close bond and share an ongoing dedication to the artistic exploration of the interaction between humankind and the natural world.

Titled Maxiverse, this exhibition features an anthology of artwork reflecting over forty years of the artists’ friendship and artistic practice. The artworks have been sourced from the artists’ personal collections and Murdoch University Art Collection’s holdings, some of which have been generously donated by the artists.
