The University owes a significant debt of gratitude to the ongoing contribution of charitable benefactors who generously donate works of art.

Many of these donations are received as a direct result of the Art Board’s strategy to build and foster relationships that result in the donation of artworks that further enhance the collections overall aim.

Donations are enabled through the Federal Government’s Cultural Gifts Program, which was established in 1978 to encourage donations of cultural significance from private collections to further enrich the collections of public galleries, museums, libraries and archives through tax incentives.

The Art of Giving is an exhibition showcasing a selection of donated artworks by notable Western Australian and International artists. These donations capture the period 2006 – 2007.

The exhibition includes works by Yvette Watt, Stuart Elliot, Patrizia Tonello, Alex Spremberg, Bob Brighton, Brian Blanchflower, Howard Taylor and Harry Hummerston.
